Stories of the wolf and raven are common in Native American lore. They tell of their partnership in the wild. This is taken from the fact that wolves and ravens are often seen together in the wild.
Ravens will follow wolf packs waiting to feed after the hunt. Stories tell of times where the raven will even lead the wolf pack to a location where prey resides. In the end both will share a meal.
Ravens and wolves also have a lot in common in the way they live. Both are social animals, both have the ability to make a wide range of sounds which they use to communicate, both species are also very playful and at times have been seen playing together.

Very nice--must have taken some time to do the wings, hmm? You do a great job of drawing the wolf, as usual, but the raven is really something else. I like the way the two are moving together, as if they're invisibly bound together. It's been a while since your last work...
Do I have to say it again? Yes...I do...I WORSHIP YOUR TALENT!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
